Museum admission is $5 on the third Thursday of the month, October - April.
Free First Friday After Hours
Enjoy free admission 6 to 9 p.m. Special Northern-themed programming may include films, live or recorded music, games, topical curated conversations and more. Visit our calendar for details.
Sensory Friendly Second Sundays
An opportunity for families and adults who experience developmental and/or physical disabilities, and those on the autism spectrum, to visit the museum during a quieter time for $5. Visit online calendar for specific times, which change seasonally.
Bank of America Museums on Us
Bank of America cardholders enjoy one free museum general admission on the first weekend of the month with BoA, Merrill, and Bank of America Private Bank (U.S. Trust) credit or debit card and photo ID. Special exhibition fees still apply. BoA cardholders also receive 10% off purchases at the museum store on this weekend. No other discounts apply.
DISCOUNT ADMISSION PROGRAMS
Enrolled Members of Federally Recognized Tribes
The museum offers free admission for enrolled members of federally recognized tribes, made possible with support from private charitable contributions. Enrolled members of federally recognized tribes who wish to receive complimentary admission may indicate that to the associate at the ticketing counter. Visitors will be asked to share which federally recognized tribe they are enrolled in.
Professional Caregivers
The museum welcomes professional caregivers and the individuals in their care. For each client that pays admission, a professional caregiver receives complimentary admission. Professional caregiving organizations may be able to purchase guest pass booklets that offer discounted admission for clients. Call 907-929-9271 or 907-929-9230 for more information.
EBT Free Admission
Individuals and families receiving food assistance through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) can get free museum admission by showing your EBT benefits card. Please present your Alaska Quest Card (or other state EBT card) to the front desk upon arrival. WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) Nutrition Program cards also accepted.
RECIPROCAL MEMBERSHIPS
Anchorage Museum members get free access to many museums across North America through reciprocal benefit programs:
Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) Passport Program: Members at all levels have an ASTC emblem printed on their membership cards, which entitles them to free admission at 375+ participating science museums.
Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM) program: Individual Museum Insider, Family Plus, Family Museum Insider, and VIP level members receive admission to 375+ art and history museums through the ROAM program.
Smithsonian Affiliate Reciprocal Membership
The Anchorage Museum is a Smithsonian affiliate through the Arctic Studies Center located on the second floor. Present your Anchorage Museum membership card to more than 50 Smithsonian affiliate museums and enjoy special discounts and benefits.
AAA and LifeBalance
AAA and LifeBalance members receive $1 off adult admission (with proof of membership; discount not available for tickets purchased online or applicable to special exhibitions, planetarium shows or classes/workshops)

Parking
The Anchorage Museum is located at 625 C Street in downtown Anchorage. Public parking is plentiful near the museum. Follow this link for a list of convenient parking options. Public parking is also available in the museum’s underground garage evenings and weekends, with designated parking for people with disabilities available anytime.
Photography
Personal photography is permitted throughout the Anchorage Museum unless otherwise noted in gallery spaces, but please turn off the flash when visiting the galleries.
Events and programs may be photographed or recorded for use in museum promotions, including social media and advertising. By visiting, you consent to appear in this documentation and its future use by the museum. Please let staff know upon arrival if you prefer not to be photographed. We take care not to photograph children without guardian consent.
