Repair & Reuse: Costume Swap and Mini Monster Making

In-Person Event

Break free of spooky fast-fashion costumes by participating in a community costume swap. Bring costumes or components to be reimagined by others, or just show up and see what you find. Brainstorm ideas with other attendees and sketch out your visions to create a plan. Sewing machines will be out for quick alterations, and plenty of free fabric from the material library will be available to use or take home. 

Those who already have costumes are invited to unleash their creativity and use materials to make a mini monster. All ages welcome. Workshop led by teachers Amy Meissner, Jamie Hirano and Ming Stephens. Free. Registration requested. Doors open at 6 p.m.
