Climate Cafe: Misfit Gift Exchange

We’ve all received gifts that weren’t the right fit for our lives, and that’s ok. At the Anchorage Museum we are thinking about sustainable gift-giving, and we think there are probably people for whom those “misfit gifts” we received are perfect.

Bring new or nearly new gifts to Seed Lab, such as décor and miscellaneous items you have that would make a great gift for someone this season and exchange with others. Pick out gifts from community contributions and wrap them at our reuse wrapping station. Lower waste, reduce your footprint and help contribute to an economical gift-giving option in your community. Free to attend, regardless of bringing items to exchange.

We also encourage anyone with extra food items or warm clothing to donate to the food drive box. All food items, and remaining gifts will be donated to local charity organizations.
