Thomas Planetarium - Rapid Space Shorts 
6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m. 
These quick planetarium experiences range from constellation tours of the night sky and cruising around the solar system to learning about light and the aurora borealis. Free; ticket required and available at the front desk after 6 p.m. 
 
ArtLab – Free Create First Friday: Astronomy Day Edition
6 - 8 p.m. Friday, May 2, Discovery Center, Art Lab
Feeling inspired by the Anchorage Museum? Let your imagination soar while you paint, draw, and create in Art Lab. Join us during First Friday hours to freely create and gather with the community in a fun and judgment-free zone. Open to all ages; an adult must accompany children.
