CIHS Society Presents: Pioneering Medicine In The Last Frontier

For nearly 50 years, Dr. Milo Fritz served Alaska as an ENT surgeon, bush pilot, and three-time state legislator. Alongside his wife Betsy, a nurse, he brought medical care to some of Alaska’s most remote communities—places with no doctors, clinics, or health facilities—covering nearly a quarter of the state. In this presentation, Linda Fritz, author of Answering Alaska’s Call, shares the inspiring story of her uncle through archival materials, historic photos, personal letters, and family memories.

In-person and virtual via Crowdcast (recording available afterward). Book signing to follow. Use the 7th Avenue entrance to access the auditorium.
