Join this community presentation featuring the work of local architects and designers seeking to help address housing challenges present in Anchorage today. Proposed solutions will be on display in the museum's atrium starting at 6 p.m. with project and design presentations by three local firms starting at 6:30 p.m.
Presentations will serve as the public debut of varying housing design concepts for local residents considering downsizing, long-term care and live-in assistance, flexible living situations and expanded community supports within neighborhoods.
The initiative is a collaborative project lead by Cook Inlet Housing, with partners NeighborWorks Alaska, Sightline Institute, the UAA Institute for Social Economic Research, Anchorage Museum, AARP Alaska, FRAME Architects, BDS Architects, Arete Alaska, The Municipality of Anchorage Planning Department and Spinelli Homes. Funding support for the development of site plans and architectural design is provided by AARP Alaska. Free to attend.
