About the Artists
Grace Choi is a painter based in Anchorage. Originally from South Korea, her practice considers concepts of self-discovery, identity, and the power of art. She observes and studies daily life and the atmosphere of Alaska, creating art that captures the intimacy between humans and nature, nostalgia, and a sense of comfort.
Addie Studebaker is an artist based in Alaska's Mat-Su Valley who works in various mediums, including sculpture, watercolor, acrylic, and drawing. Her paper sculptures, which use found and repurposed materials when possible, highlight the material's distinct properties using the dynamism of light and shadow. In addition to her art practice, she is also interested in agriculture and local food movements in Alaska, contributing to Edible Alaska, Alaska Magazine, FORUM, and others.
Kerry Tasker is an editorial, commercial, and fine art photographer in Anchorage. His photography is inspired by a deep interest in the strange vastness of the Alaska environment and the people who call it home. He holds a BFA in photography from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon.
