This year marks the 100th anniversary of the diphtheria epidemic that made Balto a household name. Learn about the 20 mushers and more than 150 sled dogs that braved extreme conditions to deliver lifesaving medication to the residents of Nome. Bring your packed lunch or purchase a snack at our coffee kiosk. Recommended for adults and included with museum admission.
