New Memberships Updates - The Anchorage Museum

In January 2025 we will roll out new levels and pricing, including a monthly payment option, in order to offer you more value and flexibility.

Under the new level structure, you will continue to enjoy all of your existing benefits as a member. However, these adjustments will also support additional resources, programs, and experiences, enabling us to offer you even more value.

Your support is important to us. We know price changes can be unexpected, so we’re committed to ensuring a smooth transition for you and multiple options to ensure your Museum membership remains valuable to you.

Here’s what you can expect:
Changes to Names and Prices
Note: the monthly prices include credit card fees.

Membership levels for one adult, no children
Basic ($70) will become Individual at $80 annually or $7 a month (fully tax deductible)
Benefits include:

Insider ($125) will keep its name but change to $145 annually or $12.50 a month ($113 tax deductible)

• 10% Discount at Muse restaurant, Atrium Café, Museum Store, workshops, and museum programs

• Two art classes per year
• After hour member evenings
• Reciprocal admission to 650+ art, history, and science museums

*NEW* Student ($50) annually or $4.50 per month (fully tax deductible) For 1 adult enrolled in college-level courses
• Unlimited admission
• 10% discount at the Muse restaurant, Atrium café, Museum store, workshops, and programs
• 50% discount on Planetarium Shows
• Reciprocal admission to 650+ ASTC museums

*NEW* Global ($70) annually or $6 a month (fully tax deductible) For 1 adult who lives 200 miles or more from the Anchorage Museum

• Unlimited admission

Membership levels for two adults, all children in the household Family Basic ($100) will become Dual at $115 annually or $10 a month (fully tax deductible)

Family PLUS ($150) will become Dual PLUS at $170 annually or $14.50 a month ($146 tax deductible)

Family Museum Insider ($250) will become Insider PLUS, with the same rate of $250 annually or $21 a month ($178 tax deductible)
Benefits include:

• Digital membership card
• Exclusive member programs and events
• 10% Discount at Muse restaurant, Atrium Café, Museum Store, workshops, and museum programs

• Also receive Dual Plus benefits

VIP will remain at the current rate of $500 or $42 a month ($400 tax deductible)
Benefits include:

• Families: also receive Family Plus benefits
• 2 free guests every visit
• First Friday in the Patrons Lounge (kick off the evening with beverages and light appetizers)
• Tours with CEO/Director

Additional Programming
We are committed to at least three member programs per month through the fall, winter, and spring. Going forward, we have added programs such as:
- Two art classes per year for Insider levels and up
- Annual after hour member evenings for all levels
- Special guest speakers in the quarterly VIP Patrons Lounge for First Fridays

Ways to Pay
You can still renew by mail, over the phone, online, or in person. There is also a new monthly payment option for those who prefer it.

You will retain all of your original benefits. We are committed to providing more programming throughout the fall, winter, and spring.

Renewing, changing, or updating your membership
Although we have updated the mobile accessibility aspect of our memberships, all the traditional methods of accessing your membership remain the same. Paper cards are still an option, as well as check or phone renewals.

Discounts
Discount rules are still the same. Senior and military discounts are still available for those 65+ or those active-duty military for VIP, Insider PLUS, Insider, and Dual PLUS membership levels when purchased annually.

Add ons
Membership add ons remain the same. Additional adults are $30 and printed cards are $5.

Lock In Your Price
If you renew your membership by January 7, you will keep today’s pricing for a year from your original expiration date.
