IF YOU HAVE Appreciated stocks

Donating stocks is a simple way to benefit both you and your Museum. A gift of appreciated securities allows you to deduct the gift as a charitable donation and may help you avoid capital gains tax at the time of the transfer. If you would like to make a gift of stock, please fill out this form and we will contact you with transfer information to provide to your broker.

IF YOU HAVE A DONOR ADVISED FUND

Donor Advised Funds are the fastest growing form of philanthropy. A gift from you DAF makes it easy to support the Museum and all of the non-profits you care about. Did you know that you can also name the Museum as a beneficiary of your DAF? Consider supporting the future of the Museum by naming us as beneficiary of all or part of your remaining DAF funds at the end of your lifetime.

IF YOU HAVE A TRADITIONAL IRA

Make Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) to the Anchorage Museum Association.

At age 70 ½ you become eligible to make Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from your IRA. A QCD is a direct transfer of funds from your IRA to a qualified charity, such as the Museum. Beginning at age 72, a QCD counts toward your annual Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). Making a gift through a QCD to the Museum helps you lower your taxable income while supporting the art and culture of the North you love.

You can also leave your IRA to the Museum. Naming the Museum as a beneficiary of your IRA will help ensure the future of our operations and could spare your heirs a significant tax bill.

Join the Leadership Circle

Consider joining the Museum’s Leadership Circle with your gift of $5,000 or more. Leadership Circle gifts can be made with a single donation or through a multi-year pledge. Leadership Circle members ensure the sustainability of the Museum through their outstanding generosity and commitment. By joining this family of leaders in giving, you will receive unlimited Museum admission for two people, invitations to exhibition previews and behind-the-scenes experiences, access to the Patron’s Lounge on First Fridays, and more.
