It's July and everyone is worried about the frequency of rain.
And I'm also thinking about the frequency of rainbows.
What of the frequency of puddles, and wet ankles, and the quiet
chill of drops from a canopy of
birch leaves?

What of the frequency of abandoning a child-sized fishing pole
to splash and floor your boots? What of the frequency
of dripping your canoe paddle across your lap as you pass it from
one side to another, careful, don't drag it.

What of the frequecny of movie kidding and tears mingling
with the clouds' tears, and auras of streaky light hugging
streetlamps?

What of the reflections of gray, fluffy skies, and upside-down
trees?

What of the frequency of double rainbows?
