Donation/Sponsorship Request Guidelines

The Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center is dedicated to enhancing cultural, artistic and educational opportunities as well as developing strong community ties through active involvement with local organizations and events.

Types of donations
The Anchorage Museum typically makes in-kind donations which must be given a dollar amount.

The museum sponsors and makes donations to organizations and events in the following areas:

  • Tourism/travel
  • Education
  • Arts/culture
  • Non-profit

Donations may include giving to live/silent auctions and sponsorship of tables at fundraising events. The Anchorage Museum does not donate to individuals, sports events, religious or political organizations or to pageants.

Donation Items May Include:
Museum memberships Museum family memberships have a value of $65. They are not redeemable for cash and must be redeemed within a year of being awarded.

Admit-One Passes
A specific number of admit-one passes may be donated annually to organizations that serve individuals with disabilities.

Criteria for Sponsorships

  • All donation requests must be in writing using the donation request form available online or at the museum’s front desk. Requests will not be filled over the phone.
  • All requests must include all of the required information. Requests with missing information will not be reviewed.
  • Requests must be made at least 30 days prior to the date of pick-up.
  • The Anchorage Museum will accept one application for donations per organization per calendar year.
